Hospice Companion Volunteer

About this Job
If you’re looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experiences in the healthcare field, Grace Hospice may be the perfect place for you.

As a high ranking hospice care system in the Twin Cities, Grace Hospice encircles our patients with comfort, pain management, honesty, and respect for their end of life decisions. We serve our patients wherever they call home, and work as an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care and programs for our patients and their families.

Grace Hospice is a local nonprofit developed through a partnership with Cassia and Mount Olivet Careview Home. As a faith-based organization, we follow the grassroots philosophy of hospice, which is service rich in spiritual care and volunteerism.

We are looking for college students with interests in nursing, healthcare, social work, psychology, family studies, and music therapy (to name a few!) to join Grace Hospice as a Companion Volunteer.

Training:
We provide in-depth training for all of our volunteers and work closely with you to ensure you are fully equipped to meet with patients.

Length of commitment:
We ask that our volunteers serve a minimum of 3 months or 50 hours.
