Live and Work in an Ecovillage

In a time when so much is unknown and everyone is feeling isolated, the need for community is more apparent than ever. Our community is home to 45 people including adults who have developmental and intellectual disabilities, live-in volunteers, and their families. Spend a year gaining experience and skills in homemaking, farming, gardening, baking, food processing and preserving, weaving, woodworking, and community building. Volunteers come from all over the world to be part of our community. Some come for one year to gain experience after school and before starting their careers, some come seeking a new lease on life, and others come open-endedly to make Camphill home. Regardless of where they are in life, volunteers share their talents and skills with the community and when they leave they have even more to share with the world.

Members of our community are able to safely continue growing our biodynamic and organic food, building lasting relationships in family-style homes, and strengthening their homemaking skills on 525 acres of prairie, forests, wetlands, and cultivated farmland. Camphill Village Minnesota is a nonprofit organization and intentional community that has been growing since 1980 and is part of a network of over 100 Camphill communities worldwide.

At Camphill Village Minnesota, we focus on capabilities, not disabilities. Everyone works together in the houses, shared community spaces, and on the land to sustain our village and lifestyle. Each of us has something to offer. What will you bring to the table?
