Greening Forward Director of Outreach
Greening Forward is a youth-led, youth-inspired nonprofit organization that is focused on developing youth leadership and increasing their involvement in the environment and their community. Our programs range from conferences to grants given to student groups, and we work with students across the US and internationally. Our Director of Outreach is Greening Forward’s primary contact with our partnering organizations, and it is their responsibility to maintain and further develop our relationship with those groups.
Responsibilities
- Lead outreach efforts for Greening Forward’s annual student conference, the Empowered Young Environmentalist Summit
- Work closely with the Assistant Director of Outreach and the Events Coordinator
- Generate interest for Greening Forward sponsored events and programs, using both online and offline outreach strategies
- Maintain and develop our relationships with outside local and national organizations
- Create new mutually beneficial relationships with outside organizations
- Participate in monthly Greening Forward conference calls with our entire staff, along with regular meetings with individual staff members
- Represent Greening Forward at internal and external events
- Recruit for open Greening Forward positions
- Commit to an average of 8-10 hours per week
