Social Media Expert: For Nonprofit focused on Foster Youth and Adoptees
Importance of Position: Social Media Expert will help POWER OF STORY be more visible and spread our message. The Social Media Expert will develop and implement a social media strategy to increase overall reach and brand awareness, through our Instagram presence and website presents, and help us grow on new platforms.
Qualifications:
· Experience using key social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Pinterest)
· Strong writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail
· Ability to use online tools to engage members, donors, and corporate partners
· Outgoing, enthusiastic and creative
· Attention to detail
· Desire to support POWER OF STORY’s mission
· Pass background check
Reports to: Executive Director
Responsibilities:
· Attendance at 1-hour initial training and 1 board meeting annually (both can be virtual)
· Track + report volunteer hours
· Maintain a respectful relationship with clients, staff, and other volunteers
· Post regular updates to POWER OF STORY social media outlets, including news articles, blog posts, press releases, fundraising appeals, events, partner events, special donors/donations, and any other promotional items
· Monitor activity and user interactions for all social media outlets businesses and organizations for requests for fundraising/sponsorships
· Adapt general campaign messaging for the different outlet-specific audiences
· Maintain a respectful relationship with clients, staff, and other volunteers
· Other duties as assigned
